Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Deeporion is operated by [REVIEW] legal entity name, registered address, CIN/GSTIN (“we”, “us”). For the data of couples who use our service, we are the data fiduciary. For guest details a couple adds to their invite, we process the data on the couple's instructions.

2. What we collect

From couples (our customers):

• Invite content: names, family details, event dates and venues, photos, music choice and any other text you add.

About guests (added by a couple):

• Family name, greeting and, optionally, a mobile number.
• When the personal invite link was first opened.
• WhatsApp delivery status and any “STOP” reply.

Technical data: IP address, browser and device type and server logs, kept for security and to fix problems. [REVIEW] Confirm log retention period.

3. How we use it

• To create, host and show your invite.
• To send the messages you ask for: invites, event-day reminders and thank-you notes, by WhatsApp.
• To provide support.
• To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal data. Guest phone numbers are never used for our own marketing and are never shown on public pages.

4. Guests' data and consent

When you add guests, you confirm that they know you and would expect to receive your wedding invitation and related reminders. Guests can stop WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP; we then send them nothing further from any invite. Guests can also ask us to delete their details by writing to support@deeporion.in.

5. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data only to run Deeporion:

• Vercel (hosting) and MongoDB Atlas (database)
• Cloudflare R2 (photo and music storage)
• Resend (email) and Meta WhatsApp Cloud API (WhatsApp messages)
• Inngest (scheduling reminders and background tasks)

Some providers may store data outside India. [REVIEW] List data locations and confirm cross-border transfer terms for each provider. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

6. Who can see an invite

Anyone with the invite link can view the invite. Invite pages are marked so search engines do not index them. Only the couple who owns an invite can see its guest list and phone numbers. [REVIEW] Mention optional password protection once it is available.

7. How long we keep it

• An invite stays live until 60 days after its last event, then becomes a read-only keepsake. [REVIEW] State how long keepsakes are kept before deletion.
• You can delete guests at any time, and ask us to delete your account and invites.
• Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires. [REVIEW] Confirm period (e.g. 8 years).

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. Write to support@deeporion.in. We aim to respond within [REVIEW] 30 days.

Grievance Officer: [REVIEW] name, designation, email and postal address. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, payment webhooks are and signature-checked. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.

10. Cookies

We do not use cookies. The editor keeps unsaved changes in your browser's local storage until they are saved. [REVIEW] Update if analytics are added.

11. Children

Deeporion is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children's accounts.
